PIR® Treatment

What is Physiologic Insulin
Resensitization®?

Well Cell’s patented approach called Physiologic Insulin Resensitization® is directed by physicians to help patients with insulin resistance. The terms identify the PIR® protocol as a resource available to physicians and their QHCPs to:

  • Evaluate patients diagnosed with diabetes
  • Use an FDA-approved pump for precision dosing
  • Benefit from Well Cell’s training and teaching services
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications

How it Works

Through the use of Physician-Directed Physiologic Insulin Resensitization® (PIR), the physician can administer insulin more precisely, as a hormone rather than a drug. Using insulin in a manner that bio-mimics normal physiology, PIR® is designed to help physicians to reduce their patients’ insulin resistance, which may help blood sugar more readily enter each cell and be converted into energy.

Symptom Suppression vs.

Elimination
Published literature tells us that insulin has been used since 1922 as a “drug” to suppress symptoms of high blood sugar after they start.  Well Cell assists physicians to use insulin intravenously as a “hormone communicator” in a physiologic way similar to the body’s manner of maintaining metabolism.
Cellular Health
PIR® is designed to help physicians to repair and regenerate their patients’ cells, peripherally at first, and then through repeated treatment sessions under a physician-directed care plan.
What is a Care plan?
The physician-directed Care Plan is highly individualized and is prescribed to enable the patient to increase the time between treatments and decrease the length of each treatment as the patient’s condition improves.
PIR® is not a Cure
Unfortunately, metabolic impairment is a chronic disease. If patients do not continue treatment, any improvements experienced may diminish over time.
Typical Care plan
Every patient’s degree of insulin resistance and glucose metabolism is unique; so the physician begins with a consultation to determine medical necessity and prescribe an individualized care plan.
Each patient’s unique care plan typically may include an “Induction Phase” for about 90 days, and an ongoing “Maintenance Phase” for the physician to help the patient achieve better glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity.
